Shiatsu/Acupressure
Acupressure is acupuncture without the needles, but incorporating an ancient Chinese modality which uses stimulation of pressure points on different meridians. It helps to alleviate both acute and chronic conditions. Instruction on self-care acupressure points for specific ailments is available if requested in advance. Conducted clothed.
Reflexology
Pressure points in your feet correspond to areas of the rest of your body. By stimulating certain areas of your feet, we can relieve stress and blocked energy from the affected areas.
Reiki
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by “laying on hands” and is based on the idea that an unseen “life force energy” flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one’s “life force energy” is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy. Reiki is very beneficial for those going through chemotherapy. Conducted clothed.
Draping: I respect your privacy and use the professional draping technique to cover sensitive areas at all times. When draping is used, the massage session is usually conducted unclothed beneath the drape, which can be a sheet or a sheet and a blanket.
I also respect your boundaries. You are welcome to keep your underwear or clothes on if that will make you feel comfortable when you receive your massage.
